Snimbl exists for one reason: to help adults build real, genuine friendships. Every decision we make — about who gets in, how matching works, and what behaviour we allow — comes back to that. These guidelines are how we protect it.
We built Snimbl because genuine adult friendship is harder to find than it should be. Life gets busy. People move. Circles change. And most social apps are built for performance, not connection.
Snimbl is different. Everyone here has made a deliberate choice to invest in real friendship. That means we hold ourselves — and each other — to a higher standard. Not perfect, just genuine.
Our standard is simple: be the kind of person you'd want as a friend.
Your profile should represent who you actually are — real name, real photo, real intentions. Don't present a version of yourself you can't sustain. Genuine connection starts with honesty.
New friendships take time. Not every match will click, and that's okay. Treat every person you interact with on Snimbl with the same respect you'd want for yourself.
If you make a plan, follow through. Snimbl is built for people who are serious about friendship — not people who collect connections but never actually meet. If something comes up, let the other person know. That's what a good friend does.
If someone isn't interested in connecting, accept it gracefully. No means no — whether that's about a meetup, a message, or the friendship itself. Respect is non-negotiable.
What people share with you in conversation is for you alone. Don't screenshot, share, or discuss other members' personal information outside of Snimbl without their explicit consent.
Snimbl is not a dating app. Any romantic advances, sexual content, or suggestive behaviour toward other members is a violation. This includes direct messages, profile content, and event interactions.
We have zero tolerance for harassment of any kind — repeated unwanted contact, threatening messages, mean-spirited comments, or any behaviour designed to make another person feel unsafe or unwelcome.
Every account must represent a real person using their real identity. Using someone else's photos, pretending to be someone you're not, or creating multiple accounts are all grounds for permanent removal.
Never ask other members for money, loans, gifts, or financial assistance of any kind. If someone asks you for money on Snimbl, report it immediately.
Snimbl is not a marketing platform. Do not promote businesses, products, services, events, or other apps to members. Do not send unsolicited bulk messages.
Content or behaviour that demeans, threatens, or discriminates against any person or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic will result in immediate permanent removal.
Do not share explicit, graphic, or illegal content of any kind — including in your profile, messages, or group posts.
The whole point of Snimbl is real-world connection. When you meet someone in person for the first time, we encourage you to:
If anyone makes you feel unsafe or pressured during or after a meetup, report them immediately.
The same standards apply in group chats and events. Group admins are responsible for maintaining a safe and welcoming environment in their groups. We may remove groups or events that violate these guidelines.
Use the "Report" button on any profile, message, or event within the app. You can also email safety@snimbl.com for urgent safety concerns. Reports are anonymous.
If you believe your account was suspended or removed in error, email appeals@snimbl.com within 14 days. We will review your case and respond within 7 business days.
These guidelines exist because we believe the world needs more genuine human connection — and building that requires everyone in the community to take it seriously.
If you're here for the right reasons, you'll barely notice these rules exist. They're just common decency with a bit of structure around them.
Thank you for being part of Snimbl. Look after each other.
